Singing God
Gospel has always been an outlet of emotions, in the past it was
mainly for religious purposes; today it is a form of expression.
Ali Sharpe takes us through the origins of gospel music, how it
was fashioned by Africans slaves in the West and its development.
Ali Sharpe teaches gospel singing at the Bournemouth University.
She can be contacted at the Arts Centre in Talbot House.
Produced by Siti Dato Shahabudi
