James Paton
I have a fine face for radio, thin wrists, and a fondness for sound. I like the look of a gerbera, the smell of rosemary on my fingers and the taste of broccoli in my bouche. I can often be found wandering around my garden, sporting speedos and wellington boots, listening to my wireless and talking to the cow parsley. I have never worn secret socks.

Ode To The Tomato
A Nobel prize winning poet, diplomat and member of the Chilean senate – Pablo Neruda is a national hero in his native Chile. He produced a large body of work before his death in 1973, just twelve days after the murder of his great friend President Salvador Allende in the bloody military coup that brought General Augusto Pinochet to power. Known as the people’s poet he is recognised for being able to use simple language to express man’s most intense feelings. Just as naturally, he composed poems on the beauty of everyday objects.
James Paton and Jose Garcia reflect on his influence on Chilean society and how “El Capitan” has touched their lives.

James Paton follows Portsmouth Football Club during two of the most important games in their recent history. Victories in their matches against Burnley and Rotherham, at the tail end of the 2002/03 season, see Pompey firstly gaining an automatic promotion spot to the Premiership and then clinching the top spot in the First Division to go up as Champions.
With exclusive material, hear what it was like for the players, the manager and the fans. Forget Scotland in the 70′s when they took over the Wembley pitch and mind out for the flying champagne corks…are you ready to party?

Dressed for Aggro
Ex football hooligan Rob Sylvester talks to James Paton about his new book ‘Rolling with the 567 crew’ which details many of the violent adventures of Portsmouth’s infamous ‘firm’ during during the 80′s and 90′s. Their conversation gives an insight to some of the thinking behind the fighting, the significance of terrace clothing and the impact acid house had on the scene.
