Abi Bartholomew
You can usually hear Abi before you actually see her – no doubt singing away with those ‘oh so dulcet tones’ of hers, or giggling away at something probably not even funny – normally herself!
Although born and bred in the New Forest, Abi spent a few years of her school life in the sunny deserts of Kuwait and loved it. Having graduated in 2003 with BA Honours in English, Media and Film from Winchester University, Abi spent her second amazing summer working and travelling around the USA. Upon a cold and dreary arrival home, she was also greeted with the sudden realisation of “what’s next for this young lady?!”
It was her time at Southampton Hospital Radio that opened up those starry doors for Abi and after working at BBC Radio Solent, Abi knew she’d finally found her feet. As a true fan of Stevie Wonder and RnB, Abi has had the pleasure of Interviewing the one and only Trevor Nelson during her time at Bournemouth and has since done work for Radio One.
It’s Abi’s dream to work for the BBC after getting through the blood, sweat of tears of her Masters!
