Tom Young

Handsome, witty and talented are all some of Tom’s favourite words. He was lucky to be born in Swindon in 1982 and remains proud of his Wiltshire roots. Despite flirting with careers in airplane design and stock replenishment, Tom is now focused on Radio production.

He has worked for BBC Crimewatch, written articles for The Times and once met Terry Nutkins. Cotswold Hospital radio gave him his first break and he soon became hooked on live radio. Whilst at Birmingham University studying history, Tom enjoyed a spell on Burn FM, the student radio station, where he inflicted his love of hip-hop on the Selly Oak community.

Tom hopes to sharpen his skills at Bournemouth and put his creative writing skills to the test. He has two ambitions remaining; to get into the Guiness book of records and to work for Five Live. Tom is not related to Will Young.
