Raised by a family of wild squirrels in Bournemouth gardens, Alan spent his early years foraging for acorns and avoiding the tourists.
'Squirrel Boy', as he became known, was eventually captured by scientists from Bournemouth University and taken to their facility at Talbot Campus, Poole, where he still lives to this day.
His participation in this radio station is part of an attempt to re-integrate him into mainstream society.
