It is with great sadness that BIRSt announces the passing of one our alumni, Jenni Liu (MA Radio Production 2002-2003).

After BU she went to Loughborough University where she completed a PhD, and latterly she had been teaching at Taipai University, but after a long battle with breast cancer, sadly lost the struggle.
Jenny’s work on BIRSt expanded on her love of poetry and resonates her passion for using radio as her palette for her written work.

Professor Emeritus Sean Street stated that “I remember her as a very sweet, gentle girl. I do remember that in the BU brochure at the time, there was a lovely pic of her as the ‘face of MARP’ “.
