This is a collection of my best bits as a Producer from the past 3 years.
It includes clips from my shows on Nerve Radio, but also my 30 minute documentary about the character of James Bond.
Jason is an aspiring Radio Producer that is very excited about the prospect of working in the industry. During his time at 6th form, he originally wanted to become a volcanologist. From his time working as a Sous Chef in a Michelin Red Guided restaurant, Jason has a huge love for cooking and for food, but he kept this as a hobby instead after he left his job. However he ultimately decided what would make him happy, and that’s pursuing a career in the most widely consumed medium in the UK: radio. Before attending University Jason had never had any prior experience in radio, but he did not want that to stop him. After months of hard work and desire, he rapidly developed and improved his audio editing skills by getting involved in student radio. After learning the basic skills required by the industry to appear as an employable candidate, Jason began applying for work experience placements to better his knowledge of the industry and to meet and work with new people in new environments. Jason has worked with a diverse variety of radio stations including BBC 1Xtra, Jack FM and also Hospital Radio. The transferable skills he has learned have been a valuable part of his progression towards working in his dream job as a Radio Producer. Working in all new situations helped boost Jason’s confidence in his abilities and it has enabled him to become a much more rounded individual. Whilst studying BA (Hons) Radio, Jason has taken a keen interest in learning about the industry he hopes to work in- with an emphasis placed upon the future of radio in the UK. His time as Deputy Manager of Nerve Radio has boosted his confidence even further and he has enjoyed the experiences and opportunities it has brought to him.
