BA (Hons) Radio 2014<\/p><\/div>\n

Radio has been taught at Bournemouth University<\/a> for 14 years and we are very pleased to see our very first course graduates on the BA Radio course, which started in 2011. Previously, from 2008, we have run a one year ‘top up’ course for which FdA, BTec HND and mature students have joined, this year we also have\u00a0a\u00a0vibrant and creative group from the FdA Radio Production taught at our partner college.<\/p>\n

The skills learned on the course are adaptable to the ever changing media environment where we are no longer simply radio producers but audio producers. So, students have moved on to traditional radio at BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC 6 music, Capital Radio and BBC Radio 5 Live but increasingly there are careers in podcasting, advert production and sound design. Some notable alumni in these areas are in music radio promotion, work for Cunard as DJs overseas, the Prison Radio Association and produce varied content for community radio stations and audio production companies.<\/p>\n

You are going to hear excerpts from many genres and audio that challenges existing conventions and production techniques. We hope you enjoy the work you hear, please comment on pieces you like and enjoy the start of these radio producer\u2019s careers. We wish them all well in their radio futures.<\/p>\n
