BIRSt.co.uk is very sad to announce the death of Alan Brown, who passed away on Monday 31st July after collapsing at his home.
Alan worked at Bournemouth University for 27 years, as technical support and then as demonstrator/tutor in radio. His love for the medium was apparent from the outset and he completed his MA Radio Production in 2008 with Professor Sean Street.
Alan has been the backbone of BIRSt from the outset. He has managed the website, supporting 1000s of students in both Radio and Journalism to further careers. His patience, knowledge and passion for radio will be missed.
