Radio-13Radio has been a part of my life since I was young. I grew up in a home where the radio was always on and by the age of twelve I was attending comedy recordings for the BBC including The Lee Mack Show and Old Harry’s Game; as well as collecting scripts and talking to the cast. I have enjoyed my time at Bournemouth University, in particular being able to produce my own ideas as well as working with people from different backgrounds. Studying radio has given me the opportunity to work in different genres of the medium that I would not have had the opportunity otherwise. For example I both presented and produced shows on Nerve Radio. In addition, I have been lucky enough to have worked on BBC shows including Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation, Thanks A Lot Milton Jones and Radio Wales’ Somewhere Else.

I would love to produce comedy, as this has always been my goal. However, after studying at University I have also found an interest for documentary making and music radio.

The sample below is from a 15 minute feature I produced on musical comedy group ‘Folk On’.
