Radio-18

I studied Radio at Bournemouth University because I have always had a keen interest within the media industry. After studying multi-media journalism for the first year of University, I soon realised that radio was the industry I wanted pursue and so I made the decision to switch courses in order to specialise further within the field.

When I first studied Radio at Bournemouth University I was adamant that I wanted to become a presenter. However the last three years has opened my eyes up to many different career paths as I have really enjoyed creating audio rather than being part of it.

I have been the producer of two group projects, a magazine programme and an outside broadcast from The Bournemouth 7’s festival. I have created many short-form features and I have even produced two Radio Drama’s as well as co-presenting a fortnightly show on Nerve called The Geek Zone. After University I hope to eventually be working as a radio producer as well as continuing to create my own podcasts and features.

This an excerpt of my major project, Wasteland, a post-apocalyptic drama.
