Save the birds!

18th of April 2018 //  by BIRSt Archivist

Kids! Listen!

There are 10 nature reserves in Bournemouth with loads owned by different people in Dorset, which means so many homes for animals! Just the beach alone is home to lizards, birds and even my favourite animal, goats.

I made a little audio piece about the birds with my friends James and Kendal, and they talk about them and their habitats, and why we should try and save them!

I love building bird boxes with my family, I did it when I was growing up every summer and watched some random birds fly in and start nibbling on bird seed, and then sing us a little tune before they go back to their friends (maybe for school the next day?)

But…

It is important, bird boxes are just one more place for them to hide from the mean ol’ bigger birds.
